What a thrill for us. We were walking in to take pictures of the train station when this gentleman walked up to us and introduced himself as the mayor. He said he was just leaving a meeting here and saw us pull in with out of state plates and thought he would come talk to us. He told us how the train station and half of Ardmore burned down after a tanker car blew up. He also pointed out where the courthouse was located and discussed some of the revitalization plans they have for downtown. Definitely a memorable experience that we will cherish.
